Basketball Recap: C J Geiger's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Hampton over Eagle's Landing

Hampton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 58-51 to the Eagle's Landing Eagles. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 51-38 back in January.

Hampton lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being C J Geiger, who posted 16 points. Another player making a difference was Richard Azu, who scored 14 points.

Hampton's defeat dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Eagle's Landing, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.

Hampton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 57-47 victory against Jackson on the 1st. As for Eagle's Landing, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 58-49 win against Locust Grove on the 1st.
