Softball Recap: Butler Golden Tornado vs. North Allegheny Tigers
Butler was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They wound up on the wrong side of a rough 7-1 walloping at the hands of the North Allegheny Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Butler of the 13-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.
Butler saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Shylee Karenbauer, who went 2-for-3 with a stolen base and an RBI.
Butler's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for North Allegheny, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.
Butler will head out on the road to take on Mt. Lebanon at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for North Allegheny, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Canon-McMillan at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Canon-McMillan is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.
