Volleyball Game Preview: Santee Falcons vs. Los Angeles Romans

Santee hasn't had much luck against Los Angeles recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Santee Falcons will head out on the road to square off against the Los Angeles Romans at 4:30 p.m.

Santee is headed into Wednesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Friday. They lost 3-0 to Jefferson.

Meanwhile, Los Angeles was able to grind out a solid win over Dr. Maya Angelou Community on Friday, taking the game 3-1. The victory continues a trend for the Romans in their matchups with the Phoenix: they've now won seven in a row.

The win didn't come easy: Dr. Maya Angelou Community scored at least 20 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-22, 23-25, 25-20.

Santee's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Los Angeles, their victory bumped their record up to 2-10.

Santee might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Los Angeles when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can Santee avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
