Softball Game Preview: Otsego Knights vs. Rossford Bulldogs

The Otsego Knights will head out to square off against the Rossford Bulldogs at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. Rossford took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Otsego, who comes in off a win.

Otsego barely beat Genoa Area the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Knights were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Comets on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won eight matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Rossford came up short against Maumee on Thursday, falling 10-2. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost four in a row.

The win made it two in a row for Otsego and bumps their season record up to 8-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.5 runs over those games. As for Rossford, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.

Otsego skirted past Rossford 3-1 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Do the Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
