Recap: Everman vs. University

You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Everman. They were fully in charge on Friday, breezing past University 65-7. That result was just more of the same for Everman, who also won the last time these teams played (Nov. 2).

The matchup started off well for the Bulldogs, whose offense put up 51 first-half points. University countered with 7 points, leaving the score at 51-7 going into the half. The Everman defense was impenetrable in the third quarter, shutting them out and essentially clinching the contest.

No one put up better numbers for Everman than Eric Calamease, who really brought his A game. He rushed for 68 yards and two TDs on four carries. More help came courtesy of Aaziah Flores, who was good for 14 tackles.

The win bumped Everman's record up to 3-6. University's loss makes it three in a row and drags their record down to 4-5.

Everman will square off against Red Oak at 7:30 p.m. ET on Friday. Everman doesn't have the home-field advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings. The Trojans will look to defend their home field against Midlothian at 7:30 p.m. ET. University's scoring has been on the decline the past four games, which is obviously a trend Midlothian hopes will continue.
