Baseball Recap: St. Rita Comes Up Short

St. Rita was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 10-7 to the McCallie Blue Tornado.

Sullivan Kazee made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. Christian Clark was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-5.

Even though they lost, St. Rita kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

St. Rita's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for McCallie, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-10.

Looking ahead, St. Rita will face off against Marian Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for McCallie, their road trip will continue as they head out to face Napoleon at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
