Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask East Carteret). They took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 56-0 win over the Jones Trojans. The Mariners haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

East Carteret had a senior duo take command as Luke McIntosh threw for 153 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only eight passes and Jackson Greene picked up 91 receiving yards and two scores. Greene is on a roll when it comes to receiving touchdowns, as he's now hauled in two or more in each of the last three games he's played.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something East Carteret proved: they limited Jones to a paltry 0.6 yards per carry. The team can thank Iain Brice for the heroic effort on defense: he. East Carteret is 3-1 when they shut down the run game so well.

East Carteret didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Brock Furr, Kelson Daniels, and McIntosh picked up one apiece. McIntosh got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

East Carteret's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Jones, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.
