Soccer Game Preview: Bellevue East vs. Benson

The Bellevue East Chieftains are taking a road trip to square off against the Benson Bunnies at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams each escaped with close wins against their previous opponents.

While Bellevue East's win against Westview wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Chieftains had just enough and edged out the Wolverines 2-1.

Meanwhile, it may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but Benson ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They skirted past Burke 3-2. Benson found success even though the refs didn't miss a thing: three Benson players were handed yellow cards.

Bellevue East's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Benson, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Bellevue East came up short against Benson in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, falling 2-0. Can the Chieftains avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
