Baseball Recap: St. Thomas Aquinas Gets the Win

St. Thomas Aquinas extended their postseason success on Friday against West Boca Raton. They came out on top against the Bulls by a score of 7-2. The Raiders haven't had any issues with the Bulls recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

St. Thomas Aquinas gave Julian Diaz the start and clearly made the right call: he struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. That's the most strikeouts Diaz has posted since back in February.

On the hitting side, Brady Buxbaum was a standout: he fired off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Kaio Ramos, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two runs.

St. Thomas Aquinas lost a few balls and finished the game with four home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

St. Thomas Aquinas' record is now 23-4. As for West Boca Raton, they moved to 19-11 with that loss, which also ended their nine-game winning streak.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Bulls beat St. Thomas Aquinas by a score of 10-0 on Saturday.
