Tucker Bickford Delivers Best Effort of Season

On Friday, Weeping Water got the W thanks in part to Tucker Bickford playing the best football he has all season. Bickford rushed for 161 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.5 yards per carry, and also threw for 96 yards and a touchdown while completing 81.8% of his passes, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 58 yards.

Weeping Water pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. Bickford and Weeping Water will venture away from home to square off against Elmwood-Murdock at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer dropped their record down to 2-5 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. Bohling and Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Johnson County Central at 7:00 p.m.
