Soccer Recap: Valley Forge Takes a Loss

Valley Forge lost against South back in September of 2017 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Patriots lost 8-1 to the Rebels. While losing is never fun, Valley Forge can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 425th, while South are ranked 209th).

Valley Forge's goal came courtesy of Claire Farson, who's now up to seven this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Valley Forge and nudges their season record down to 2-15. As for South, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4-2 record this season.

Valley Forge will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on North Royalton at 7:00 p.m. on the 21st. As for South, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 1-1 draw against Hawken on the 13th.
