Football Recap: Xenia Falls Short of La Salle in the Playoffs

Xenia and La Salle squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Xenia had to settle for second. They took a 14-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lancers. The Buccaneers were red-hot offensively heading into the game (they scored no less than 31 points in the three matchups prior), but the Lancers' defense proved too tough.

The defeat snapped Xenia's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-3 record. As for La Salle, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.
