Basketball Recap: Serra Catholic Takes a Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Serra Catholic couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell 64-54 to the Otto-Eldred Terrors on Tuesday. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 64-44 to the Terrors when the teams met back in March of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

When it comes to explaining why Serra Catholic lost, don't look at Owen Dumbroski. Despite the final result, he went 7-for-17 en route to 21 points and seven boards. Another player making a difference was Kris Sharp, who posted 14 points.

Serra Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 22-5. As for Otto-Eldred, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 27-1.

Serra Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Otto-Eldred, they will challenge Aquinas Academy on Friday. Otto-Eldred will be up against Aquinas Academy's rather soft defense (which has allowed 65.91 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
