Basketball Recap: Alameda Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Alameda can now relate to. They had to suffer through a 75-44 loss at the hands of the Bishop O'Dowd Dragons. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 142nd, while the Dragons are ranked 41st).

Alameda's defeat dropped their record down to 17-11. As for Bishop O'Dowd, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season.

Alameda does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bishop O'Dowd, they will welcome Redwood at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Redwood will roll in looking for their 15th straight win, something Bishop O'Dowd surely won't give up without a fight.
