Softball Recap: Oak Hill Wins Going Away Against Downsville

The Oak Hill Rams made easy work of the Downsville Demons on Friday and carried off a 13-3 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rams.

Joslyn Johnson and Braylee Cedus did most of the damage at the plate: Johnson got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs and two RBI, while Cedus went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run. That's the most RBI Cedus has posted since back in March. Livi Turnage also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Oak Hill's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-13. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.3 runs over those games. As for Downsville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-17.

Oak Hill will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Demons: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Saturday.
