Soccer Game Preview: Umatilla vs. Riverside

Umatilla is 0-10 against Riverside since September of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Vikings will host the Pirates at 6:00 p.m.

Saturday just wasn't the day for Umatilla's offense. They came up short against McLoughlin on Saturday, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, Umatilla can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon soccer rankings (they are ranked 107th, while McLoughlin are ranked 27th).

Meanwhile, Riverside had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 goals) and they went ahead and made it seven on Friday. They put the hurt on the Vikings with a sharp 5-1 win. Riverside might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by four goals or more this season.

Umatilla's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4-2. As for Riverside, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2-1.
