Trinidad won the last time they faced Custer County and things went their way on Friday too. The Trinidad Miners narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Custer County Bobcats 34-32. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Miners.

Trinidad's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Maya Morales led the charge by putting up eight points along with eight boards and three blocks. That's the most blocks Morales has posted since back in January of 2024. Mikayla Hinchley was another key player, earning six points in addition to ten rebounds and three steals.

Trinidad now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Custer County, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9.

Trinidad wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 30-28 defeat against South Park on the 8th. As for Custer County, they have also already played their next contest, a 40-39 victory against Crested Butte on the 8th.
