Softball Recap: Northeastern Takes a Loss

Northeastern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Central York Panthers, falling 16-1. The Bobcats were not able to make up for their loss to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Northeastern saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madison Redding, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Northeastern's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Central York, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 9-2.

Northeastern and Central York could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. The Bobcats (ranked 407th) will meet East Pennsboro (ranked 201st) at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Central York will challenge Cumberland Valley at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank disadvantage (60 vs. 3).
