Daphne came tearing into Friday's contest with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Tuscaloosa Academy Knights by a score of 2-0.

Daphne was led to victory by Grace Thigpen and Makenzie Valentine. Thigpen had 12 assists and four digs, while Valentine had one assist. Thigpen has been hot, having posted 12 or more assists the last eight times she's played. Maddie Pace also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Daphne was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in six consecutive matchups.

Daphne's win bumped their record up to 13-8. As for Tuscaloosa Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

Daphne has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Foley on the 13th. As for Tuscaloosa Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Gulf Shores on the 13th.
