Basketball Recap: Rivercrest Comes Up Short

Rivercrest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 65-61 heartbreaker at the hands of the Detroit Eagles. The Rebels were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February.

Rivercrest's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Detroit, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-5 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rivercrest will welcome Honey Grove at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Detroit, they will square off against Linden-Kildare at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
