Recap: Okeechobee Brahmans vs. Westwood Panthers
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Okeechobee Brahmans had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They strolled past the Panthers with points to spare, taking the game 57-40. 57 seems to be a good number for Okeechobee as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
It was another big night for Corey Wilkerson, who almost dropped a double-double on 29 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of John White iii, who scored 11 points along with four steals and two blocks.
The victory was the third in a row for Okeechobee, bringing their record for this year to 16-10. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.3 points per game. As for Westwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-16.
Okeechobee didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 57-38 loss vs. Rockledge on the 8th. Westwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
