Baseball Recap: Wonewoc-Center Takes a Loss

Wonewoc-Center was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Cashton Eagles, falling 23-4. That's two games in a row now that the Wolves have lost by exactly 19 runs.

Wonewoc-Center saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Reid Byrdy, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Wonewoc-Center's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Cashton, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Wonewoc-Center will square off against rival Hillsboro at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Cashton is set to take on their familiar foe Necedah at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
