Softball Recap: Daleville Takes a Loss

Daleville and Northfield squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Daleville had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Norsemen by a score of 8-7.

Miley Womack made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Maddie Rees was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Daleville has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-9 record this season. As for Northfield, with the victory, they broke their 13-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-17.

Daleville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Northfield, they will take on Southwood at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
