Softball Recap: Lauderdale County's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

Lauderdale County dropped their record down to 16-12 on Thursday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They lost 14-0 to the Mars Hill Bible Panthers. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Tigers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

As for Mars Hill Bible, their record now sits at 29-10. Considering they have won 16 contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

For Mars Hill Bible's part, they got a massive performance out of Mollie Sak, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave Sak a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lila Embry, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Lauderdale County didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Deshler on the 18th. As for Mars Hill Bible, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 7-0 win against Muscle Shoals on the 18th.
