Fort Bend Hightower proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 69) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Fort Bend Austin Bulldogs 41-39. The win was familiar territory for the Hurricanes who have now won 16 contests in a row.

Fort Bend Austin's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Andrea Sturdivant, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds, and Aminah Dixon, who posted 15 points and five boards. That's the most boards Sturdivant has posted since back in February of 2024.

Fort Bend Hightower has been performing well recently as they've won 17 of their last 20 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 27-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.1 points per game. As for Fort Bend Austin, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-10.
