Softball Recap: Telstar Gets the Win

While Telstar's victory against Richmond wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Rebels sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 12-10 win over the Bobcats on Tuesday. That's more bragging rights for the Rebels, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The team relied heavily on Cadie Campbell, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with four stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Brenna Fraser, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Telstar always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .561. The last time their OBP was this high was was before the start of last season.

The victory got Telstar back to even at 1-1. As for Richmond, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
