Manteno had already won eight in a row and they went ahead and made it nine on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Streator Bulldogs by a score of 2-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in September.

Manteno easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-11.

Maddy Belisle paced Manteno's offense, picking up five kills. Belisle got some help from Leah Donnelly and her eight assists.

Manteno's win bumped their record up to 29-4. As for Streator, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-16-2 record this season.

Manteno wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Beecher on the 23rd. As for Streator, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Galesburg at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
