Basketball Recap: Centreville Comes Up Short

After flying high against Bloomingdale last Monday, Centreville came back down to earth. The Centreville Bulldogs took a 33-27 hit to the loss column at the hands of the White Pigeon Chiefs. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Chiefs earlier this season, when they won 30-27.

Centreville's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 16-1 and their overall record down to 16-5. As for White Pigeon, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Centreville will face off against Bloomingdale at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for White Pigeon, they will take on Marcellus at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
