Basketball Game Preview: North Mahaska Warhawks vs. Sigourney Savages

North Mahaska has gone 7-2 against Sigourney recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The North Mahaska Warhawks just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Sigourney Savages at 6:00 p.m. North Mahaska's defense has only allowed 28 points per game this season, so Sigourney's offense will have their work cut out for them.

North Mahaska is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Iowa's top teams: Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont, who was ranked 14th at the time (North Mahaska was ranked 19th). North Mahaska opened the new year with a less-than-successful 49-40 loss to Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont. The Warhawks' defeat signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Sigourney has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 56-54 heartbreaker at the hands of Lynnville-Sully.

Sigourney's loss ended an 11-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-3. As for North Mahaska, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 8-1.
