Softball Recap: Monument Valley's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last four contests, Monument Valley finally came back down to earth on Saturday. They came up short against the Holbrook Roadrunners, falling 10-0. The match marked the first time this year in which the Mustangs were not able to get on the board.

Monument Valley moved to 7-4 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak. As for Holbrook, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.

Monument Valley has already played their next contest, a 14-13 victory against Tuba City on the 1st. As for Holbrook, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 10-9 win against Mogollon on the 31st.
