Basketball Game Preview: St. Mary Cathedral Snowbirds vs. Mancelona Ironmen

After both having extra time off, the St. Mary Cathedral Snowbirds and the Mancelona Ironmen will shake off the cobwebs and face off against one another at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Two weeks ago, St. Mary Cathedral beat Pellston 55-44. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Snowbirds.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Mancelona, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in December of 2024. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 69-51 victory over Inland Lakes back in December of 2024.

The win got St. Mary Cathedral back to even at 2-2. As for Mancelona, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

St. Mary Cathedral came out on top in a nail-biter against Mancelona in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, sneaking past 36-33. The rematch might be a little tougher for St. Mary Cathedral since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
