Football Recap: De La Salle Snaps Eight-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact De La Salle can now relate to. They came up short against the Mater Dei Monarchs on Saturday, falling 37-15. The Spartans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 23-0.

Mater Dei had a senior duo take command as Dash Beierly threw for 355 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 13.1 yards per attempt and Jordon Davison rushed for 107 yards and two touchdowns. Those 355 passing yards set a new season-high mark for Beierly. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Honore, who picked up 89 receiving yards and one touchdown.

De La Salle's defeat ended an eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 12-1. As for Mater Dei, the win keeps them at an undefeated 13-0.

As of now, neither De La Salle nor Mater Dei have any future games scheduled.
