Football Recap: Charleston Trojans vs. Rantoul Eagles
Charleston had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 34-0 win over the Rantoul Eagles. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 150th, while the Eagles are ranked 428th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Treylin Couch had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 98 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries, and also picked up 34 receiving yards. Braxton Hanner did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 84 receiving yards.
