With a playoff win on the line, Lehi rose to the challenge on Monday. They blew past the Pleasant Grove Vikings 8-2. The result was nothing new for the Pioneers, who have now won nine matches by six runs or more so far this season.
Lehi got a great performance from Tj Peterson as he struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits (and only one walk). Peterson also tossed a walk, which is notable because the Pioneers are 6-2 when he allows at most two walks, but 10-11 otherwise.

The win made it two in a row for Lehi and bumps their season record up to 16-13. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Pleasant Grove, the loss snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 23-5 record.
As of now, neither Lehi nor the Vikings have any future games scheduled.
