Softball Recap: Sehome Comes Up Short

Sehome was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against the Ferndale Golden Eagles, falling 18-2. The Mariners were not able to make up for their loss to the Golden Eagles from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Sehome saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sarah Kruzich, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Sehome's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Ferndale, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-10.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Sehome is set to challenge their familiar foe Lynden at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Ferndale will face off against rival Lynden Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
