The DMV provided an upset that shook up this week's Top 25.

Gonzaga (Washington, D.C.) beat St. John's (Washington, D.C.) 24-14 in the WCAC semifinals, making the Eagles the final team out of the Top 25 at No. 26.

With a win over No. 25 DeMatha (Hyattsville, Md.) in the WCAC championship game next week, Gonzaga will clinch a spot in rankings.

The biggest play of the game happened in the final minute of the fourth quarter when St. John's fumbled the ball inside the Gonzaga 10 and Aaron Davis scooped it up and took it back for a score.

The loss dropped St. John's 11 spots to No. 14 and the Cadets end the season 9-1 after playing one of the toughest schedules in high school football this year.

The CIF Southern Section Division-I playoffs are down to the Final Four and all four teams are ranked in the Top 25.

No. 1 St. John Bosco (Bellflower, Calif.) has dominated all year and more so in the playoffs. The Braves have outscored their first two postseason opponents 105-6 and up next is No. 19 Oaks Christian (Westlake Village, Calif.) with a spot in the CIF SS DI championship on the line.

The other semifinal features No. 3 Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.) and No. 7 Centennial (Corona, Calif.) in one of the most anticipated games of the year.

The Texas playoff brackets were announced earlier this weekend and the defending 6A-Division-I state champs, No. 2 Allen (Texas), open up against Rowlett (Texas).

No. 13 North Shore (Houston) takes on Dobie (Houston) in the first round and No. 17 Duncanville (Texas) opens up with South Grand Prairie (Grand Prairie). The Texas 6A-Division-I bracket is loaded and was named the top playoff bracket in high school football. The 64-team field features some of the best squads in the Lone Star State.

The Florida 6A playoff bracket features a Top 10 showdown this week in the second round of the playoffs between No. 4 Carol City (Miami) and No. 10 Central (Miami). The Chiefs rolled past Norland (Miami) 34-0 and the Rockets beat Dillard (Fort Lauderdale) 35-20 in the first round. The winner of this one is the favorite to win the 6A state championship.
