Basketball Recap: Linn County Comes Up Short

Linn County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Mercer Cardinals 56-8. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 56-16 back in December of 2024.

Linn County's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Mercer, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-11 record.

Linn County has already played their next game (against Bucklin-Macon County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Mercer has already played their next match, a 61-33 victory against Tina-Avalon on the 31st.
