Meanwhile, Pearl River Central came up short against Hancock on Thursday, falling 3-0.

While Pearl River Central was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Hancock's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-3, 25-16, 25-23.

Stone's loss dropped their record down to 16-10. As for Pearl River Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-18.

Stone took their win against Pearl River Central in their previous matchup back in August by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Tomcats repeat their success, or do the Blue Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
