Volleyball Recap: Jefferson Takes a Loss

Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Sioux City East Black Raiders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Yellowjackets of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-6, 25-9.

Alivia Kerkman paced Jefferson's offense, picking up four kills. Kerkman got some help from Teygan Rasmussen and her eight assists.

Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 4-24. As for Sioux City East, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-7 record this season.

Jefferson has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Roosevelt on the 21st. As for Sioux City East, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against the Cavaliers on the 18th.
