Basketball Recap: Cherokee County Turns Things Around After Road Loss

Cherokee County's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Alexandria on Thursday. The Cherokee County Warriors walked away with a 67-57 victory over the White Plains Wildcats. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 57-47 back in December of 2024.

Cherokee County's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for White Plains, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season.

Cherokee County will have a chance to go back-to-back against White Plains: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
