Softball Recap: Big Spring Comes Up Short

Big Spring lost against Colorado back in March of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Big Spring Steers might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 12-2 to the Colorado Wolves, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Steers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Big Spring saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Analia Hinojosa, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Big Spring's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Colorado, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-5-1.

Coming up, Big Spring will square off against Levelland at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Big Spring has given up an average of 7.2 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Colorado, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 12-1 win against Christoval on the 15th.
