Recap: Kearny Komets vs. Christian Patriots
The Kearny Komets lost against the Christian Patriots back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Kearny took a serious blow against Christian, falling 63-32. While losing is never fun, Kearny can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1175th, while Christian is ranked 357th).
Kearny lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Cj Nevada, who scored six points along with two blocks. It was the first time this season that Nevada posted two or more blocks.
Kearny has not been sharp recently as the team has lost 15 of their last 17 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-22 record this season. As for Christian, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-7.
Kearny does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Christian also has no future games currently scheduled.
