Basketball Game Preview: Wausa Vikings vs. Archangels Catholic Defenders

Having just played yesterday, the Wausa Vikings will jump right back in to play the Archangels Catholic Defenders at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Wausa heads in on the heels of a playoff contest on Friday. They fell just short of Wynot by a score of 55-52. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Vikings have suffered since February 5, 2024.

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Archangels Catholic's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 59-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of St. Mary's.

Archangels Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 19-7. As for Wausa, their defeat dropped their record down to 23-4.

Wausa took a serious blow against Archangels Catholic when the teams last played back in February of 2020, falling 73-23. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Wausa was down 37-13.
