Volleyball Recap: Lathrop Extends Home Winning Streak to Six

Lathrop had won five straight home games and Mario Luna did his part to make it six on Wednesday. The Spartans were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Ceres Bulldogs with plenty of help from Luna, who had 40 assists and three digs. Luna is crushing it when it comes to assists: he's posted at least 29 every time he's taken the court this season.

While Lathrop might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Ceres scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-18, 25-19.

Lathrop is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for Ceres, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.

Lathrop has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Johansen on the 28th. As for Ceres, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Pacheco on the 28th.
