Merrimack and Nashua South are an even 3-3 against one another since May of 2016, but likely not for long. The Tomahawks will be playing in front of their home fans against the Purple Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Merrimack has now lost eight straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 29.

On Monday, Merrimack came up short against Windham and fell 4-1.

Shea Collins made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double.

Meanwhile, Nashua South sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Timberlane on Tuesday.

Brendon Doighty spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on six hits and racked up eight Ks.

On the hitting side, Adam Murray was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season.

Nashua South's win bumped their record up to 5-11. As for Merrimack, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-13-1.

Merrimack skirted past Nashua South 2-1 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Will the Tomahawks repeat their success, or do the Purple Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
