Football Game Preview: Booker Kiowas vs. Boys Ranch Roughriders + How To Watch

The Booker Kiowas will head out on the road to challenge the Boys Ranch Roughriders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Booker beat Claude 42-36. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Kiowas.

Meanwhile, Boys Ranch suffered their biggest defeat since August 29, 2024 on Friday. They were beaten by Claude 78-48. The Roughriders gained 96 more yards on the day, but it was the Mustangs that made the best use of them.

Booker will have to contain Isaac Acosta as he made an impact in Boys Ranch's last game. He threw for 462 yards and six touchdowns. With that strong performance, Acosta is now averaging an impressive 308.5 passing yards per game. Cord'E Jackson helped Acosta out on the ground, picking up 234 receiving yards.

Boys Ranch's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Booker, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.

Everything came up roses for Booker against Boys Ranch in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 51-6 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Kiowas since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
