Softball Recap: Cimarron Takes a Loss

If Cimarron was riding high fresh off their 11-5 takedown of Colby on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bluejays fell 12-9 to the Liberal Redskins on Thursday. The Bluejays haven't had much luck with the Redskins recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Quinn Campbell was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Zayla Hunsaker was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one run.

Cimarron's loss dropped their record down to 14-5. As for Liberal, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Redskins beat Cimarron by a score of 13-10 later that day.
