Soccer Recap: Laney Plays to a Tie

Laney and Croatan pushed the score to 8-0 the last time they played Croatan, but on Tuesday defenses reigned supreme. The two teams finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw. The result (or lack thereof) marked Laney's first draw of the season.

Their goal came courtesy of Jasmine Hicks, who's now up to seven this season.

Hoggard will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something Laney surely won't give up without a fight. As for Croatan, they will challenge Dixon at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Croatan's defense better be ready for this one: Dixon have averaged an impressive 3.8 goals per game this season.
