Baseball Recap: Concordia Takes a Loss

Concordia fell victim to Round Rock Christian Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 12-0 to the Crusaders. The Cardinals' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it seven in a row.

Troy Haefs was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out 13 batters over five innings while giving up five earned (and seven unearned) runs off three hits (and not a single walk). The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in walks (zero).

Concordia's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Round Rock Christian Academy, their record is now 7-10.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Crusaders beat Concordia by a score of 15-0 on Thursday.
