Football Recap: Weir Takes a Loss

Weir was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They received a blow as they fell 30-14 to the Harrison Central Huskies. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Red Riders came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 63rd in West Virginia, while the Huskies are ranked 537th in Ohio).

Weir's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Harrison Central, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Weir will challenge Keyser at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Red Riders will need to watch out since the Golden Tornado have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Harrison Central, they will square off against Indian Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Huskies will need to watch out since the Redskins have now posted at least 31 points in their last three games.
